Where situated
Court Llaca Barn is situated a couple of miles from the village of Longtown on the Herefordshire/Welsh borders. Longtown has an award winning village shop and post office specialising in local and fairtrade produce. There is a busy family pub, the Crown Inn. The Monnow Arts Centre which holds painting and sculpture exhibitions is less than a mile from Longtown. Court Llaca Barn is about 12 miles from Hay-on-Wye, 14 miles from Hereford and about 10 miles from Abergavenny.

Court Llaca Barn is ideally positioned for those wishing to visit the famous Hay-on-Wye Festival, the Abergavenny Food Festival and the Hereford Cathedral Three Choirs Festival. Its central position also makes it ideal for those wishing to make expeditions to the ‘black and white’ villages of Herefordshire northwards, the Brecon Beacons and Llangorse Lake to the west, the Norman Castles of Skenfrith, Grosmont and White Castle to the south east. Llanthony Abbey and Offa’s Dyke are close, as is the Golden Valley and Abbey Dore, and there are many local walks in spectacular scenery with interest for those who enjoy wildlife.
There is pony trekking close to Llanthony and the Triley Fields Equestrian Centre about 6 miles away. Trout fishing can be arranged on the upper reaches of the River Monnow. Longtown has an Outdoor Education Centre which organises expeditions to do caving, canoeing and other expeditions.
Throughout the summer months there are many agricultural and equestrian shows ranging from the big county professional shows to the charm of the local village shows.
